Falls Park
If you only have time for one stop in Sioux Falls, it has to be Falls Park, the city's namesake. The park is comprised of over 128-acres and located just north of downtown, along the Big Sioux River. An average of 7,400 gallons of water drop 100 feet over the course of the Falls each second. Enjoy the Falls from the many different viewing platforms, including the five-story observation tower. Falls Park is also home to a rich history that includes some of Sioux Falls' oldest buildings.
Great Plains Zoo
Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History in Sioux Falls, SD features an exciting and eclectic mix of international animals, from alligators to zebras, in award-winning exhibits allowing visitors to observe these unique creatures in a safe environment.

Big Sioux River Recreation Trail and Greenway
The bike trail system includes a 19-mile loop, as well as over 15 miles of spurs connecting neighborhoods to the main trail. Walk, jog, bike, or rollerblade your way along the Big Sioux River as it flows through Sioux Falls. The River Greenway offers a paved bike trail that winds through scenic urban and wildlife areas. The trails are maintained in the winter as well, so enjoy a nice crisp winter walk for year-round outdoor enjoyment. Rent a bike at a local store, and ride the trail! 1.
