Darrick and Kyleigh met on snapchat after Tayton, Darrick’s friend, had introduced them months prior. Kyleigh added Darrick (always making the first move😉). Kyleigh was very uninterested in dating someone at the time. So, Darrick and Kyleigh became friends first. Come to find out Darrick had been in many places Kyleigh had been through high school and they had never known one another. Maybe, partly to do with Jaden, Kyleigh’s twin, keeping her a secret all of high school from his friends.

Kyleigh and her parents had went to a family friends gathering and they drank a little too much. Darrick being the kind guy he is offered to come get Kyleigh from her parent’s house (25min out of town) to take her back to her car after driving her parents home. Kyleigh had told her dad they “were just friends” at this time. Which to be fair, they were.

Darrick and Kyleigh facetimed and hungout for the next few months! Finally, on 10/20/23 Darrick asked Kyleigh to be his girlfriend. If you know Kyleigh, you know she is stubborn, Kyleigh didn’t say yes until the night of 10/22/23 where she simply out of nowhere replied “yes”.

Kyleigh and Darrick closed on there first home together! Let the homeownership responsibilities begin!

Kyleigh new from the moment she met Darrick he was kind, caring, and selfless. It wasn’t long before she was planning their future together. On 02/07/25 Darrick went with Kyleigh to try on rings! Her dreams of getting married was finally coming true!

We were driving home from Darrick’s parents one night when he made mention of needing to wash his truck before work with all the salt on it. Kyleigh thought nothing of it but did notice Darrick’s nervous demeanor. We pulled into the car wash and were just finishing up when Darrick said “You missed a spot”. Being the perfectionist Kyleigh is she said “I did not miss a spot”. After arguing for probably 2 minutes Kyleigh went to the front of the truck to find Darrick on one knee grinning from ear to ear. Kyleigh said “yes”. What other answer was there?!? If you didn’t know Darrick and Kyleigh frequent the car wash together, almost monthly!
