Dear family and friends, It is with heartbreaking news that we announce the cancellation of our wedding. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we would have liked to give you the news sooner, but had to wait for confirmation from our venue that it was a no go. The regulations surrounding Covid -19 are always changing and it has made planning difficult. We hope that those who already made travel arrangements can still recoup their costs. Despite the bad news, we are still deciding to get married on June 6th. We do not have many details regarding the ceremony but we will let everyone know if live streaming would be possible. Our story began on September 2014 when Darren and Angela met on a dating site WAY classier than Tinder (Plenty of Fish). After spending half the summer in Japan, Angela was busy buying a condo and finishing up her last year of University, while Darren was adjusting to his new life – having recently moved to Edmonton from Toronto. After messaging back and forth for a few weeks they went on their first date at a sushi restaurant. When Angela decided that Darren was NOT going to murder her, they continued their date to the FANCIEST of bars - Steel Wheels (don’t use their bathrooms!). It was then that Darren showed Angela a magic trick proving they were meant to be together. Over five years later, Darren and Angela now share a love for travelling, bingeing Netflix and most of all, spending time with their two corgi’s, Kevin and Ellie.
