Use sites like Booking.com or AirBnB

If you're not sure about a hotel (see options below), AirBnB has some great options still; search Ballyliffin, Clonmany, Tullagh, or even Dunaff for your tentative date range and there should be some options around the area. (Dunaff is where much of our family live so we have a soft spot for this magical place, but if you're not finding any luck close to Ballyliffin, towns like Malin, Carndonagh, Culdaff, and Buncrana are great options) If you book through sites like Booking.com, they often give good discounts for rental cars, which we recommend in order to get around and see more of gorgeous Donegal--or take a little road trip after the wedding (see the Things to Do section). Note, if you're staying in a house/cottage further from nearby towns, getting a taxi or cab could be challenging. But if you opt to stay in towns like Buncrana or Culdfaff, pubs/hotels will call a taxi for you in the day. Like we said above, there will be shuttles the NIGHT of the wedding and we're arraigning something for Thursday night...

Inishowen Gateway Hotel

Located in Buncrana, this is such a beautiful hotel with luxury wellbeing/spa packages and other special offers. BOOK NOW if you want a hotel close by(ish)... rooms will sell out quick. If you're not sure about coming yet, we suggest reserving anyway and doing the pay later option. Most allow cancellations up to a week or few days before the date.

Lake Of Shadows Hotel

Just a 5 minute walk from Buncrana town center and about 20 mins to Ballyffin, this hotel is also super close to the beach of Lough Swilly and a 5 minute drive to the Buncrana Golf Club;)

This modern 4-star B&B is located just 1 mi from Buncrana and 20 mins from Ballyliffin. A really great location for day trips to places like Derry and the Giants Causeway.

About 20 mins East of Ballyliffin, there might be affordable availability with NO prepayment needed and FREE cancellation before Aug (like most if not all hotels). Culdaff is also known for its gorgeous beaches and such a cute town!

Redcastle Hotel

Southeast of Ballyliffin, about a 30 mins drive, this is an oceanfront, golf and spa hotel. Beyond gorgeous, the only drawback is that it's a tad bit further but there should be taxis/buses available (and we'll have shuttles the night of the wedding so you can call a taxi to the venue in the day).

Ballyliffin House & Tess Rose Ocean Spa

A multi-award winning boutique hotel, this place is SO friggin cute we wish we were staying here ourselves! It's already booked but they will inform us of any cancellations by early 2025 and we get to block up to FOUR rooms, each can sleep up to 6. So if you're not happy with your accommodation, let Milena know and this can serve as a back up in case of cancellations.
