Our story began back in 2017 at Stowe Mt. Resort. We both shared a love of skiing, so it isn’t surprising that our paths crossed one November Day. We both were taking a break from skiing and warming up at the local on-mountain bar. Through a mutual friend, we started talking, and Darren had convinced me, Kristy, to take a shot of fireball with him and accompany him for some afternoon runs. Some flirtatious banter and a couple dates later, and we were suddenly spending all of our free time together. They say opposites attract, and I guess it’s true. While we definitely have our differences, we quickly found we had a common love of skiing, hiking, food, the outdoors, and travel. Just six months into our relationship, we booked a trip to Paris with a week’s notice. Three years later, Darren popped the question on Christmas day, 2020. I knew he was up to something when he asked me to go to a on a hike in the middle of a monsoon. Regardless, we hiked to an intimate lodge on the same mountain where our relationship began. Recently, we just bought our first home together and are looking to plan our next adventure. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter in our lives to begin, and we are so excited to celebrate with all of you.
