**(Darren's thoughts in parentheses)**....Well we were at my Aunts Home-going Celebration. (Aunt Linda) I had went out of the church, after singing, talked to my brother Herman then was too embarrassed to go back in church while the Preacher was doing the eulogy, (typical excuse) so I stayed in the back hallway. Then Darren walked out and I was stuck! He said, “You sounded good Sis!"(LOOK AT DEM DIMPLES WHEN SHE SMILES). I replied, “God Bless you.” But, I was thinking [Sis?? Really? Nah bruh I ain’t your Sis!] I conversed with Aaron about finding out who the tall, dark and handsome guy was! Aaron, along with Uncle Wendell at the time [he's Pop's now], got word to Darren and the rest is history. Although, his Dad and my Aunt were best friends for years I didn’t remember ever seeing Darren despite the many times our paths could've crossed. Darren and I agreed that we would just be friends, (I had no less than 8 fingers and 4 toes crossed, promise), someone we could call and laugh with, etc. BUT GOD had another plan. We both agreed to meet up on May 28th for a formal introduction. Our first official DATE was on a cruise to the Bahamas. The connection was overwhelming and the love was real. Only God could tailor this connection. By June 1st, I was his girlfriend; by August 25th I was his fiancée; and on March 14, 2020 I’ll be his wife and he will be my husband! We both had some (more than others) doors to close and new (glorious) windows to open. Love has never felt so good! All I can say is when you know you just know and I know God joined us because neither one of us were looking for anything, BUT GOD! I trust God’s plan and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Thanks for reading and join us as we start this journey. #Journey2Yorkman & #DarrensGreatestJoy
