It was a cold winter night in Memphis, TN. Naw, just playing, but it was funny how we met. We both worked in the Trucking Department at FedEx. We have known each other for years. I thought she was a little mean firecracker, and she thought I was this mean grouchy giant that didn’t play. I was right, she was wrong lol. Just kidding, we both were right and wrong in a strange since. To make a long story shorter, I noticed how kind, trustworthy, dependable, loving, and caring for others as she was. I also realized how mature she was and how she took care of business, a true woman at heart. It was peak season about three years ago, when she called me over the radio to take a trailer back to the area to add more freight. On my way to take the trailer back to the area I had an accident and damaged the trailer. So, from that point on I would not let her forget it. I started calling her “Twinkle Twinkle”. So, one night I was scrolling through Facebook and came across her name and I sent her a poke. We started sending messages back and forth. She asked me “did I want to meet up after work?” We started meeting up by the old FedEx credit union until security ran us away. After we were run off from our spot, we started sitting in front of her mother's house. One day I pulled up, her mother came out to see who had her daughter laughing all night and smiling from ear to ear. Her mother invited me in the house, she told me you don’t have to sit in the truck, “come in the house”. From that point, we dated for a year in a half. I made her my lady that second year on my birthday and the third year I ask her to Marry Me. From that point to this point.

I ask for a Date Night that turned into a Proposal. He told me that he had planned the perfect evening. Which starting off at Deck The Diamond light show, which was amazing. Then the private dinner which I thought it was supposed to be him and I. It turned out to be a Surprise Proposal/Engagement Party full of friends and family. Lastly, he asked for the mic and recited a poem he wrote asking me to Marry Him. I screamed, shouted "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
