The ceremony starts promptly at 2:00 PM. We kindly ask all guests to be seated by 1:45 PM so we can start on time.
No. The ceremony will take place at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, and the reception will follow immediately afterward at Dolphin Head Recreation Area. The reception venue is located within Hilton Head Plantation, approximately 5 miles from the church. A map and driving directions will be included in the wedding program for your convenience.
Our ceremony will be a full Catholic Nuptial Mass and is expected to last approximately one hour.
All guests are warmly welcome. The ceremony will be a Catholic Nuptial Mass, which includes scripture readings, prayers, vows, music, and Holy Communion. There will be cues throughout the Mass for when guests stand or sit, and you are always welcome to participate to the extent you feel comfortable. Holy Communion is reserved for practicing Catholics; non-Catholic guests are welcome to remain seated and prayerfully reflect. No prior knowledge or participation is expected, and we are grateful to have you with us as we celebrate.
As our ceremony will take place in a Catholic Church, we ask guests to dress respectfully. Semi-formal or cocktail attire is appropriate. We kindly request no sleeveless dresses and that dresses and skirts fall to an appropriate length. Jackets are encouraged for gentlemen, but are not required.
