Our Story
As all great love stories begin, we first met at a solo cup-filled house party in our early 20's. Unfortunately the smell of cheap beer in the air overpowered that undeniable aroma of love that neither of us would sense for another ten years! It wasn't until a dear friend's wedding in Rome that two pasta-eating-wine-drinking-fanatics rediscovered one another. On that trip a seed was planted, which turned into a sapling (reconnecting in LA), then a shrub (dating), and has matured into a firmly rooted adolescent oak (the past year).
The last two and a half years have been a whirlwind of things life likes to throw at you -- work, moves, travel, stress, a life-altering global pandemic -- but through this, our love, respect, and the joy we possess together has only grown. With any luck, over time, truffles will form near our oak roots and to celebrate, we'll shave them atop of a plate of freshly cooked gnocchi! For that, we hope that you can join us.
