Darnelle: After "The Birds" won the Super Bowl, our online conversations moved IRL (In Real Life). Our first date restaurant no longer exists (More Than Just Ice Cream) but it was there that I realized two things...1, Matthew makes me "feel" and 2, I do not want to leave his side. I couldn't shake him. I was looking for a +1, someone to share interests and go on adventures with. Since then, we have seen countless theatrical productions, been on many camping trips, nerdy events and picked up many keepsakes along the way. I knew I wanted to marry Matthew by our first Christmas. I gave him a "promise ring", from then, we were in the "rehearsal process". Over the years, we worked out the kinks, many revisions and the silencing of opinions, we fine-tuned the script and now we are ready to present as one team for the rest of our lives! We were like an old married couple from the start. We are both..."expressive" and "passionate". It may not be clear to see but, we are built for longevity. Now, our special day marks 8 years in development and we can't wait for Opening Night!
