Maid of Honor
Hello, I am Natalie Adelaja, attorney, mom, and Christine’s oldest, wisest, and most beautiful sister. I have known her for all of her life, and she’s gone from being my annoying little sister who once threw a remote at my face to my best friend and the most kind, thoughtful, and intelligent young woman. I could not be happier to be part of her bridal squad on her wedding day. We have traveled together to seven countries, two continents and had many adventures. I look forward to supporting her and Darius as they embark upon the greatest adventure of a happily married life.

"What’s up everyone, the name is Antoine. Known to Darius as “Broham”!! I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this fella since the day he made his appearance into the world. Too many memories to name just one, but damn can we share some stories 😜"
Best Man
As a fellow upstate New Yorker now living in Atlanta GA, I met Darius & his family through Delta Sigma Theta. 26 years of friendship have led up to this moment and I am honored to be a part of this monumental occasion.
Maid of Honor
Hey everyone, I'm Shelby! I am a mix of a social butterfly and cozy homebody. Christine and I met 13 years ago at Las Vegas Academy but truly became close in college in Nevada for that reason. From parties to nights in with Qdoba, and everything in between, she has become a best friend and sister to me. The Yang to my Grey, a true partner in crime whether we’re turning up or going to Target ( also the best devil’s advocate). We’ve been through so many life moments together and I’m beyond excited to be here for this too!
Best Man
Hey y'all. I'm Demetrius from Chicago. I met Darius over 15 years ago in college. From Cutty Sark and gas station sandwiches to spinning out on mountain tops, we've had a few adventures. Now, we're adding another adventure: the joining of Darius and his future wife, Christine.
Maid of Honor
Christine and I have been sisters since college! I chose her to be my “little” in our sister program and have never looked back. We’ve experienced so much life together that it’s hard to choose just a few memories. We have traveled together, cried together, missed our greyhound in the middle of downtown Oakland together and most importantly laughed and prayed together. She has integrated herself into my family and everyone knows her as my sister. She has been an aunt to my son and has been present for all of his major milestones. I could go on and on about how much she means to me but I’m limited to 100 words.

“I’m Eddie from Reno, NV. I met Darius when he moved into the apartment complex that I managed. After a few game nights and dinners, it was apparent that we would become good friends. So good in fact, that he was the voice of reason that talked my VERY inebriated girlfriend at the time and I out of getting married at a downtown chapel (we ended up getting married a few years later). I also like to take partial credit for connecting Darius and Christine: ‘Hey, you know if she’s single?’, ‘I think so, let me check… hey Christine, can I give my friend your number?’ And the rest is history”

Hey everyone, I'm Gregrette, my first memory of Christine was trying to help her make one of the greatest decisions in her college journey. To join Sisters on A Move (SOAM) or ABLE, though many would argue that she dropped the ball by not joining SOAM, I didn’t hold it against her. We later became colleagues and unofficially instituted the Black Girl Lunch Project where we spoke this union into existence. God once again allowed me to be a part of another great decision in her life, but this time she listened haha. Christine, it is my honor to stand next to you as you enter forever with the love of your life. This will be EPIC! With love, from the Royal one – Queen Simmons!

"A fellow Blerd of the groom who was always down to give hands in Tekken during college, but has grown to lend a helping hand in real life."

“Hi I'm Sarah, Christine and I met a decade ago working at Toys R Us. Who knew you could meet someone that would become a special part of your life in a little retail store. Christine has been such a calming, logical, loving person who has helped me through many storms. Some of my favorite memories together are Tahoe summers, cuddling up on the couch, talking about life, and of course watching her doggie Angel grow up and seeing the connection the two of them shared. I am so thankful to have someone like Christine in my life and to be apart of this special time in her and Darius's special days!”

I met Darius in college. I'm pretty sure he didn't like me at first because people called him Gary Coleman and I found that hilarious. That changed as I began to know him. After a while, our friendship grew and I began to know him for who he truly is. A good friend, guy that loves video games, striped shirts, feeds into his most ridiculous humor and inclinations and saves struggling drunk people on campus. This compassion that he showed for drunk strangers on campus was just a fraction of the love he shows his homies. I'm certain he will show tons more for his wife.

Christine and I met through the COB at UNR. Singapore was our first big adventure together where our travel bug hearts really bonded. Fast forward through birthdays, hikes, an engagement, work, and supporting each other through everything in between. Our most recent escapade was exploring Uruguay for Christine's 30th. We were content to explore each day, with whatever sounded fun at a time. Now, I'm so excited to go with flow but follow the itinerary that I'm certain Darius will make sure we stick to & be on this wedding journey with the two of them!

Hello Everyone! I’m Isaiah aka Christine’s cousin/brother! Christine has known me my whole life and we started off very rocky. My earliest memories are of us fighting and messing with each other when she would come to visit for my birthdays. We should have known then that we’d form a loving and supportive sibling relationship. From picking on each other and fighting as cousins to traveling, lunch and dinner dates, hiking, laughing and crying, holidays, and so much more as siblings. I’m ecstatic to be a part of this joyous occasion between Christine and Darius, and wouldn’t miss it for the world!
