2nd Postponement

Third Time's The Charm

We had hoped that by Memorial Day Weekend 2021 we could celebrate safely with you all, but due to vaccination delays we've made the difficult decision to postpone again until next fall. Our hope is that by September 2021 all of our guests will have ample time to be vaccinated. Please check our FAQs page for any questions and please don't hesitate to reach out should you have any lingering concerns!

We Changed the Date, But Couldn't Wait

Dear Family and Friends, We are happy to announce that we eloped on September 24, 2020! As much as we wanted to share this milestone with you all, we felt it was best for the health and safety of our guests to postpone a group gathering until the new year. We hope that you are still available to join us for our new date and we look forward to celebrating together on the other side of this crisis. All changes to the itinerary are reflected on the "schedule" tab of our website. Love, Dan & Erin

The Proposal

08.09.19

In order to set the scene it's important to know that Dan loves a good surprise. For example, he's the kind of guy who thinks it's totally normal to plan elaborate secret vacations — like the one he planned to Grenada for my 27th birthday in which I didn't know where we were going until we arrived at the airport the morning of the trip! So yes, he's the kind of guy who is BIG on the romantic gesture. In July, 2019 we took a 10 day road-trip to California where I was convinced Dan would propose. In San Francisco, during an afternoon on the beach overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, there was no proposal. In Yosemite, following a 7 hour hike above the clouds, there was no proposal. In Big Sur, after an impromptu 6am trip to the beach, there was no proposal. During the long drive to my hometown of Los Angeles and during the couple days we spent there with my family, there was no proposal. I assumed I got it wrong and that the big moment would come sometime during the upcoming holidays. CUT TO: A month later on an unassuming summer day in Austin TX. It's customary for us to plan a date night every week, but this week we had just brought home our new puppy Lyla and we were both exhausted from waking up with her throughout the night. Despite wanting to cancel, Dan insisted we still go out. I was begrudgingly getting ready for dinner when Dan asked me to come into his office to "see something." When I walked into the room there were candles everywhere and Dan was on one knee. The rest is a blur, but one thing is for sure— I was VERY surprised. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you and we hope to see you in Texas!
