We are streaming our wedding via Facebook Live! To watch the ceremony, please "like" St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Vashon, Washington, and be on Facebook at 11am to watch our ceremony. We will have a recording available to share with family and friends at a later date. Hope you can all digitally share in our joy!
Our world has changed. COVID-19 has forced us to make some difficult decisions about our wedding and reception, including significantly shortening our guest list. Unfortunately, we are limited to family and a few very close friends, so we won't be able to celebrate with everyone at this time. We will be getting married in a small church ceremony with a family reception in Ryan's mom's backyard. We hope to have a larger reception next year and celebrate with all our loved ones at that time. As we continue planning our future celebration, we will be in touch with more details. We are so grateful for your love and support and we are heartbroken about this turn of events and are investigating the possibility of streaming or recording the wedding ceremony. Please stay safe and healthy until we can see you again!
We had decided, independently, to really get serious about online dating and each paid for a subscription to eHarmony. I (Emma) paid for a year upfront because, as I thought, "I'm not going to meet anybody in the next few weeks or anything!" Well, Ryan and I started talking before I'd been on the site for a month! We kept talking, went on our first date in December 2018, and quickly fell in love. We've been together ever since!
