Date: Sometime in 2002. Scene: 1CL classroom, Chinese International School Little Darien sat in the back of the classroom daydreaming, (probably) thinking about Pokemon cards. In the very front row sat an awkward, nerdy looking gworl, listening attentively and (probably) taking notes. Her name was Jacqui. Over the years, they watched each other grow up from opposite sides of the classroom. As Jacqui got straight E's (E = early signs of an overachiever), Darien cruised by with straight D's (D = doin' the least). While Jacqui took the first place spot on 每日一篇, Darien guessed enough correct answers to not be last. Jacqui was the type to ACTUALLY read the books on her 閱讀卡 and get her parents to sign off (who actually does this?!). Darien made up storybook titles and forged his parents signature. It's safe to say that they were nothing alike. They became friends in year 10, and it wasn't until May 20, 2015, when Jacqui's best friend hosted a ✨ wholesome ✨ get together and invited the two of them, that their romance started. They were just two little kids in their own little worlds. Who would've thought they'd be writing this story together 20+ years down the line...
