Love at First Swipe

While both on the dating app, Hinge, they connected by Darien giving Erika a rose. She gladly accepted it, but did not respond to him for about a month. Erika was not a fan of dating apps, but decided to give it a shot. Fortunately, Darien had not given up on her when she finally wrote him saying "Hey there". This was prompted by Erika's cousin, Alexiz, who saw Darien and immediately told Erika to write him back. Within days of exchanging numbers, Darien asked Erika to be his soulmate. She responded with "I don't think it works like that." Little did he know, Erika was already telling her grandparents about him. Her grandparents were actually the first family members that Darien met. After asking around about him, Erika agreed to go out, but plans were delayed due to the passing of loved ones. Through tragedy and misfortune, the two still made time for their first date where they instantly connected, realizing they had a lot more in common than they both originally thought. They went to the Pearl in Fondren- where Darien would later have their surprise engagement party. Fondren in Jackon has continued to be a part of their love story as they will tie the knot at The Plant Venue in Fondren Warehouse District. Erika and Darien are both truly deserving people and are so excited to share this love with everyone.
