It all started on Hinge in January 2021 (shoutout to the algorithm!). From the very first convo, we were shook at how much we had in common—like, wild levels of similar. Both of us come from 4-person households, our parents have the same jobs, we both have a little brother named Ash (yes, seriously), and we vibed instantly over music, interests, shows and movies, and the weirdly long list of shared “favorites.” We even grew up in the same city, had similar childhood experiences, shared values, the same weird and goofy sense of humor (lol), and—most importantly—a deep love for Jesus. Before meeting in person, we had marathon FaceTime calls (sometimes 7 hours long… blame the crazy good chemistry!). After a month of that, we finally had our first date one snowy February night—and yep, it was a hit. From then on, we were best friends. Our connection grew from silly banter and deep talks to something truly special. Whether we’re analyzing the human psyche, nerding out over anime, binge-watching shows (with many mid-episode pause-and-discuss moments), or just being two goofy weirdos cracking each other up—we always feel like we’re in our own little happy, supported, world. Our faith has been the heart of our relationship from the beginning. We’ve grown so much individually and together in our walk with Jesus, and we’ve built a community we cherish through our church. We truly believe God brought us together with purpose, and we’re so excited to keep growing, learning, and loving through Him. We balance each other out in all the right ways—one of us is slightly more of a homebody (him), the other more outgoing (her)—but together, we just work. Whether we’re out making new memories or curled up canceling plans to chill and watch TV, we’re always happiest just being together. And now… we can’t wait to spend forever with our favorite person.
