FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kids! However, our wedding will be limited to the children of immediate family members. Thank you so much for understanding and helping us keep our day intimate.

Question

How long will the ceremony be?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a traditional Catholic Nuptial Mass. Due to the celebration of the mass, you can expect a longer than usual wedding ceremony, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Question

Can anyone receive the Eucharist?

Answer

As our ceremony will take place in the Catholic Church, Holy Communion (the Eucharist) is reserved for practicing Catholics who are properly prepared to receive it. We warmly invite all other guests to remain seated.

Question

What does Black tie attire mean?

Answer

Black tie attire is requested. Tuxedos or dark formal suits are perfect for men, and floor-length gowns or sophisticated cocktail dresses are great options for women. We encourage guests to dress their best for a formal evening!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to invite those guests listed on your RSVP. Thank you so much for respecting our wishes!

Question

What time should we arrive at St. Mary's Church?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. Guests are kindly asked to arrive 15–20 minutes prior to be seated.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held inside St. Mary’s Church (please note there is no air conditioning). The reception will take place at The River House at Queenstown Harbor under a tent, with access to air-conditioned indoor areas for your comfort.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at both locations. For the ceremony, there is a parking lot behind St. Mary’s Church. At Queenstown Harbor, guests will be directed to a parking lot upon arrival, where a golf cart shuttle will take you to The River House.

Question

How far apart are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

St. Mary's Church is approximately 25 miles across the Bay Bridge from the River House at Queenstown Harbor. During normal traffic, this is approximately 30 minutes driving. Since our wedding will be in the summer months please consider potentially heavy traffic going across the Bay Bridge and plan accordingly, thank you.
