Question

What is the fastest way to get to Milos Island from Athens?

Answer

Plane, would be the fastest. (In under 1 hour, *flight time 40 minutes) * **We suggest please be ahead when booking your flights as there is limited plane ticketed seats and note as they are smaller sized planes : (ATH-MILOS)) Ferry, would be the next option. As there is the longer ferry (ranging 4hrs - 7hrs and shorter from ATH (est. 3 1/2hrs) Private transfer is available upon request, please email Daria & Vasilis Wedding Planner, Chantel@thedestinationweddings.org - for Private Helicopter-Transfer Assistance.*

Question

When can we book our hotels?

Answer

Milos Cove will have - hotel room blocked out to book for guests. For other stay options - we kindly ask you check back in with us May of 2026. As Milos is a very traditional island and with 98% of the hotels being owned by local families, properties accept bookings for the next season, as this one is into the season.* - Please also kindly note, our Planner manages countless properties on the island and our list will *also include boat house options for our family, friends and guests to experience as well. Again, please kindly reach out to TDW @thedestinationweddings Head Planner, Chantel for any other questions or concerns. Thank you.

Question

For medical emergencies, is there a hospital on the island?

Answer

Yes, of course. Our Island of Milos, has a state-run Health Center (often referred to as a small hospital) located near Plaka that offers 24/7 emergency services, walk-in care, and ambulance services. While there is no major full-service hospital, this center handles urgent care, alongside private doctor surgeries in Adamas and Pollonia. Key Medical Facilities on Milos: Health Center of Milos (Plaka): Open 24/7 for emergencies. Adamas Medical Clinic: Offers emergency services and supports walk-ins. Pharmacies: Available on the island, generally identified by a green cross. For severe, life-threatening conditions, patients may be transferred to larger hospitals on nearby islands or the mainland. In case of emergencies, you can call 112.
