ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS

The Wedding Website of Daria Shulga and Petr Khalfen
BEFORE MESSAGING SAVVA ABOUT TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION, PLEASE READ THROUGH THE QUESTIONS BELOW. WE TRIED TO THINK OF EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE, MOSTLY TO BE HELPFUL, BUT ALSO TO PROTECT SAVVA JUST A LITTLE. WE LOVE YOU, WE’RE SO EXCITED TO HAVE YOU WITH US, AND WE TRULY CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN MADEIRA THIS OCTOBER.
Question

How do I get to Madeira?

Answer

You can fly into Funchal Airport (Madeira Airport / Cristiano Ronaldo Airport). There are direct flights from many European cities, as well as easy connections through Lisbon and Porto.

Question

Which hotel should I book?

Answer

We’ve listed a few hotel options with discounted rates that we recommend for the wedding days. They are well located, comfortable, and include breakfast. You’re also very welcome to stay anywhere you like. Any other questions about your stay and travel please address to Savva, on Telegram: +351 918 959 831

Question

Can Savva help with other questions?

Answer

Yes — he’ll be happy to help with hotel questions, longer stays, villa locations, and general travel advice.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

We highly recommend it if you want to explore the island properly. Madeira is beautiful, dramatic, and much easier to enjoy with a car. That said, Uber and Bolt are affordable, so you’ll still be absolutely fine without one.

Question

Will there be transport for the wedding events?

Answer

Yes — we will arrange additional transfers for the wedding day and the other planned events.

Question

How many days should I come for?

Answer

We’d recommend coming for at least 3–4 days if you can, and longer if you’d like to enjoy more of the island.

Question

What is the weather like in Madeira in October?

Answer

October in Madeira is usually very pleasant — warm, sunny, and great for being outside. During the day, temperatures are often around 22–26°C, while mornings and evenings can feel much cooler, especially if there is wind or if you are somewhere higher up. In the evening, it can get properly chilly, so we definitely recommend bringing a jacket, shawl, or something warm to throw on. And yes — we are absolutely planning to swim in the ocean on one of the days, so bring your swimwear too. The water will be fresh, of course, but very worth it.

Question

Should I stay in Funchal?

Answer

For the wedding days, yes, we recommend staying in or near Funchal to keep things easy and convenient.

Question

What shoes should I bring?

Answer

Bring comfortable shoes for walking, especially if you plan to explore. For the wedding events, details and dress codes are shared on the relevant page.
