It’s about damn time!

It started off long distance. We met through mutual friends and we got to talking. Skyping and Google Hangouts for about 6 months straight. Usually before our day starts and afterwards. We would talk and watch movies for hours! It felt great. The butterflies, the late night talks, and missing eachother all the time. Time passes by and it’s time to finally meet. We’ve always talked about meeting eachother, and I finally made that move. On my spring break of ‘15, I told my parents I was going with a friend to florida, but really I took a risk to meet Darcy on my own. I paid for my flight, packed my bag, that friend picked me up, and drove me to the airport. I finally meet the man of my dreams. I was 18 when we met, but I was so in love already! I spent a whole week with him and it went by way too soon. We had to depart from eachother and it was the one of the saddest days of our lives. I went home and talked to my mom about my situation. About how I’ll be going to college soon, how I want to get out of Tennessee and go to school in Florida, and how I’ll be living there with my boyfriend. My parents have met Darcy over webcam and so they were fine with it because they trust me, but like every parent.. it was nerve wrecking to let their daughter leave. It was hard for me too, but I knew exactly how I felt and what I needed to do. So here we are.. 4 years later. Engaged with a two year old son!! I’ve never felt so much love and happiness within these past years spent with Darcy. And our love still continues to grow each and everyday. For that, I am thankful.
