Our story began in the Fall of 2009 at Pittsfield High School. Ms. Dirks geometry class to be exact. At this point in time, Dalton was a sophomore and Darci was just starting her freshman year. Darci was really good in math therefore when she got to high school, they placed her in a higher math course. Little did we know that Darci's math capabilities would change our lives for the better. That Fall sitting next to each other, we got to know one another slowly through conversation in and around math class. We had to have these fancy calculators, so fancy in fact, you could type up notes on them. Instead of using them for their intended purpose, we would have conversations on our calculators during math class by passing our calculators back and forth. We were in that time where passing notes was not really a thing anymore but we were not allowed to have cell phones in class. Obviously, fancy calculators were our only option. One thing led to another and our calculator conversations turned into trips to Wendy's with our mutual friend, Alyssa Rush. Our friendship took off from there as we continued through our high school careers. Dalton was Darci's dance partner for a couple of years for the annual boy girl dance that was performed at a basketball halftime by the dance team, the Saukettes. During those few years, our feelings for each other began to grow and crushes on each other developed, but nothing was ever done about it... Even after Dalton graduated high school, we kept up with our Wendy's trips and would use it as a chance to catch up over the summers. The summer after Darci's freshman year of college we were together at Wendy's talking about life and relationships got brought up. Darci was in a relationship, but it just wasn't the one. Soon after that, Darci was single and decided to not hide how she felt about Dalton any longer and it turns out that Dalton felt the same way. The rest is history. All we can say is thank goodness for Geometry and Wendy's.
