RSVP?

Answer

Do I have to RSVP? Yes, you MUST RSVP. But I'm your brother, you still must RSVP! We have to turn in numbers to our vendors by a certain deadline so RSVPing is essential to ensure that all guests are accounted for. Please let us know if you can't attend as soon as possible so we can open up for additional guests. How do I RSVP? Family and friends may use the RSVP Tab on our website to RSVP or return by mail the RSVP card enclosed in your invitation. The RSVP deadline is March 1, 2023 Should your RSVP and your plans change, please email us at ATerryTale2023@gmail.com or contact Darci at 803-528-1897 to let us know ASAP! When is the RSVP deadline? RSVP will close on March 1, 2023. After this date, we will no longer accept RSVPs.

What happens if I RSVP yes and can no longer attend the wedding?

Answer

If this happens, please change your RSVP status and inform us as soon as possible, so we can extend the invite to someone else. If you are unsure about attending by the March 1st deadline then please RSVP no for attendance.

Are children invited?

Answer

Short Answer: NO! As much as we love the kids, we will only be allowing the children in the wedding party/immediate family to attend the ceremony. At 8:00 pm the reception will move to a 21 & up celebration and we want you to be able to fully enjoy a night out with us.

Where should I park?

Answer

Our wedding venue is located in downtown Columbia, so street parking is limited. We are providing our guests with complimentary valet parking services, so you can wear those heels and not worry about walking back to the car! Valet Parking will be available at 3:00 pm and will end shortly after 10:30 pm.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. Doors to the venue will open at 3:00 pm. We ask that all guests arrive 20-30 minutes early to sign in and find a seat as doors will lock at 3:50 pm. Once doors are locked no one will be permitted to enter the ceremony.

Can I Bring a Plus One/ Guest?

Answer

Please see your invitation for the number of seats reserved in your honor. Due to venue restrictions and capacity, we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you on our BIG day! If you requested a plus one but did not see one on your RSVP, please allow time for declines to come that may open up space for your guest.

Semi-Formal No White or Ivory.

Will the wedding festivties be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour is slated to be both inside & outside contingent upon the weather.

Can I take pictures during the wedding & reception?

Answer

Please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony. We have hired a photographer and will have designated folks live streaming and snapping additional pictures. We will allow a media minute (a couple of minutes to take pictures) which will be announced by our officiant. Please use our hashtag #ATerryTale #TheTerrysTieTheKnot and tag us (@amour_darci @Itsjust_eazy) when posting to social media. Reception: Please avoid using flash photography during 1st dance, cake cutting toasts, and other formalities so that the photographer can get the shots they need.

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar courtesy of the bride and groom. Please drink responsibly and make arrangements to get home safely. Please do not bring your own alcohol, it is against the policy of the venue and we could face additional fees.

Will there be dancing?

Of course, there will be! The DJ will have us on our feet all night. Please be advised that at 8:00 pm we are taking over for the 99's and the 2000s (IYKYK) the song selections played during this time will NOT be censored. We highly recommend taking off the Monday after the wedding!

What is on the menu?

Answer

We will have light oeuvres and cocktails during cocktail hour. Dinner will be buffet style with all your favorite southern homestyle foods.

Please advise us of any food allergies or sensitivities that may impact your dining experience.

What safety measures will be put in place for COVID-19?

Answer

We can not predict the trends of Covid in April 2023. Although we are elated to celebrate this moment with all of our loved ones, the safety of our guests and staff is our number one priority. With that being said, please STAY HOME if you begin to exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to anyone carrying the virus. Sanitizing stations will be set up at different corners of the venue. Masks will NOT be required, but we fully understand that everyone's comfort levels may vary. With that being said, please feel free to wear your masks and social distance if you so choose. Your preferences will be respected.

What is the weather like in Columbia, SC in April?

Answer

April is a beautiful time to visit South Carolina. Day temperatures are in the 64°F to 75°F range, while nights average 42°F to 55°F. A light jacket for the evening is suggested.

We have listed gifting options under the registry tab on our website where you are able to contribute to our newlywed fund. We will also have a card box and gift table at the wedding should you wish to bring your gift in person.

When should I expect my formal invitation?

Formal invitations will be mailed out/ sent digitally the first week of January 2023. RSVP will close on March 1, 2023.
