We’re Married!

If you ask us how we met, you're going to get two very different stories. Will claims we were first introduced in middle school when he came to Darby's house with her neighbor for nachos. However, Darby has no recollection of this and strongly believes they first met in high school through a mutual friend.

Starting out as just friends helped us build a strong foundation for our current relationship. However, Will had to wait years for Darby to realize he was the one for her. After keeping it bottled up for about a year, Will finally told Darby he loved her in July of 2018. Although Darby also had feelings for Will, it was not until December of 2020 that she finally accepted these feelings and recognized "it was always him." Thank goodness the man is patient!

The ring was purchased in December of 2020, but Will waited until July 4, 2021 to "pop the question." He dropped down to one knee close to the same spot he first professed his love as we were surrounded by family. It was a moment we will truly never forget!

Our short 3-month engagement required more decisions to be made than either one of us ever imagined! Between July and October we visited the Bahamas, moved Will from Fairbanks, AK to Garden Grove, CA, were each enrolled in a full load of college courses, and planned a wedding! It was a whirlwind, but we wouldn't change it for the world!
