The visa application process isn't difficult but takes a bit of time to complete. Give yourself an hour to complete it. It may take more, may take less but carving out the time to do most of it as once will help knock it out. Before you start, make sure you have the following: -Your passport and a scan of the data page -2 Passport photos (you can get these taken at CVS) and a scan of one to submit digitally -Your flight itinerary saved as a PDF and readily accessible -Hotel confirmation. If you are staying at Sonia Hotel, we will email this to you. If you are taking care of your own lodging, have the confirmation handy. -Picture/image of your signature (can be digital) -Scan of your COVID Vaccination Card
Navigate to the Embassy of Ghana website - https://ghanaembassydc.org/ On the top ribbon, under the Visa & Passports header, click Visa Application. This should take you to a new site - https://ecimsglobal.com/mission.aspx On this page, scroll down and click the Visa Application button. Select English and United States under the drop down fields that appear. Before clicking Continue, read the process below. On the next page, the gray fields each contain different conditions and requirements for travel to Ghana. Take time to read each of them. Disregard the note saying "APPLICANTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO SECURE A VISA BEFORE PURCHASING A TICKET." To move on, check the box next to "I have read and understood the terms and conditions", then click Proceed with Visa Application. On the next page, click Individual Visa Application. Even if you're traveling as a group, I recommend completing individual applications. This will take you to the start of the application.

• For Step 5, you'll need to check the box and upload all of the documents that have a star next to them including: ○ Passport photo (what you upload here will appear in the top right corner of your visa application. Wedding events will occur on Saturday with a possible welcome event on Friday, but given the length of travel we recommend a minimum of 4 days in country. Keep in mind if you fly out of the US on a Tuesday, you will not land in Ghana until Wednesday.
