Question

What is the Divine Liturgy?

Answer

The Divine Liturgy is the Byzantine Catholic equivalent to the Mass. The Byzantine Rite is one of several Eastern Rites recognized by and in full communion with the Bishop of Rome. In our church, the entire Divine Liturgy is sung and the proper liturgical stance is to stand and not kneel. As this will only be the Wedding Liturgy, the Eucharist will not be distributed. We will provide a booklet outlining the Liturgy and we encourage you to sing along!
