Our hotel blocks and reception venue are all located near each other in the Crossroads Arts District. The neighborhood is a collection of some of the best food, shopping, and art Kansas City has to offer. - Our favorite bars: Green Lady Lounge, UpDown, and King G Bar & Deli. - Our favorite restaurants: LuLu's Thai Noddle Shop, Cafe Gratitude (okay, this is a vegetarian place and obviously Darby loves it and Jimmy hates it), La Bodega (Spanish tapas), Farina (Italian), and Manny's (Mexican)
Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que
Our favorite barbecue spot in Kansas City. Yes, it is located inside a gas station, but that makes it a little more fun and interesting, don't you think? There's always a line out the door, but the good news is that you can order beer while you wait. We recommend a Boulevard Wheat, a staple KC beer.
The Peanut
Jimmy's #1 favorite eatery in Kansas City. Jimmy believes that The Peanut boasts the best wings in America. Darby thinks that's a wild overstatement. We'll let you be the judge.
Boulevard Brew Hall
If you feel like you won't do enough drinking at our wedding, then we've got a boozy rec for ya! Boulevard is a hopping place with hoppy drinks. The brewery tour is surprisingly informative, and the beer hall is always buzzing.
Country Club Plaza
Good shopping, solid coffee, nice restaurants. Knock yourself out.
