We have had mutual friends for about 6 years who have fun parties in the Santa Cruz Mountains. At other parties we were mere acquaintances who spoke and laughed but nothing serious. On April 1st we both attended one of these parties not knowing we would fall for each other at the end. We were all laughing, dancing, and having a great time. Our eyes met from across the room and we found ourselves sitting next to each other. From there we flirted and hit it off. The next morning we met again for breakfast, Darby made one of his signature morning meals, breakfast burritos, and won my heart. The rest of the day we had so much fun swimming and hugging, we couldn't get enough of each other. That night I messaged Darby on Facebook to give him my number, he responded the next day with "hello", and the rest is history.

As we were sitting on our couch in mid April we talked about how we wanted to go on a much needed vacation, next thing we knew we booked plane tickets to Maui during winter break. Our good friends also had the time off and jumped on the plane with us! Maui was amazing, the water was so blue, whales were spouting and jumping out of the waters, and Hawaiian vibes surrounded us. Our group went on a wild ride to the blow hole in Maui on steep cliffs and scenic roads in the morning then came back for a relaxing walk along the beach path near our condo. Pina Colada with dark rum floats accompanied us on our walk at sunset. When we got back from our amazing day, Darby got on one knee and asked me if I would be his wife. In shock I gasped YES and hugged Darby harder than I ever have before! Our friends cheered for us and our forever love together. When we got back to the mainland Darby and I picked out the perfect ring. We are excited to begin the next chapter of our lives together as husband and wife....and we can't start it without our closest friends and family. We look forward to seeing all of you soon! XOXO
