Most people have really cute stories with how they met each other.. and most people fall in love like we did... It all started on April 3, 2016.. We had mutual friends on social media because he is a member at my cousins church. He followed me on everything. And as y’all know glenn is a little older than I am ;) (only 11 years, don’t judge). He ended up messaging me on instagram and we talked for a couple days and he finally asked me on a date (ok, I pressured him into taking me hunting, but I still got Shanes rib shack out of this) April 6, 2016, I will never forget when I got in the car he had 93.3 on and he said the blessing over our food. I just knew he’d be the one I’d marry from the start.. he says he knew too.. only cause I looked good in camo ;)

November 24th of 2017 May have been known as Black Friday to many, but it was a day full of light and love that I will never forget. I told Glenn I had been wanting “family pictures” (me, him and our sweet fur babies) for Christmas. Little did I know he had much more in store than just a few pictures. The pictures were scheduled for 3:30 that afternoon. As I got ready I was very excited to be taking pictures with all of my best friends. When we got to Molena, the place where I had grown up, it was the perfect weather, and little did I know it was about to be the most perfect day. We started out with pictures of me and him and then we added our doggies to complete the session. We were about done and our photographer asked if I had any more ideas for pictures I wanted to take.. I told her no. (because y’all go try and take pictures with two crazy pups and then come tell me how it works out for you;) She then asked Glenn if he had any ideas and he looked at her and smiled and said yeah I do.. and looked at me and went straight down on one knee and said “Darbi, you know I love you.. will you marry me?” And pulled the ring out from his boot. I immediately said yes and agreed to start this adventure for the rest of my life with my best friend.
