How it all began

hooked her with a hood...

Who would have thought that Colter's love for Welding would lead him to the love of his life! As Colter was out building/welding pipe fence one April day his treasured welding hood that had a lot of sentimental value fell off the back of his brothers work truck. Colter was desperate to locate it and went back down the roads that he had traveled previously with no sign of it. In a last stitch effort to find it he put out an add on the local facebook sites and a sweet blonde haired lady messaged him. He stole her heart when he told her that his welding hood had sentimental value and from there they met and hit it off like they had been friends all their lives. They soon realized that they both have a love for 3 major things in life Fishing, Busch Light, and each other and they go together like peas, carrots, and a spoon!

The Proposal

Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

In September Colter was given an opportunity to work the outage in Arizona. He was torn because he really couldn't imagine one day going by without seeing Dara's beautiful face. After some long discussions they decided that Colter would go ahead and go. After only a few days away they missed each other dearly. It was then that Colter knew that this was the greatest catch of his life and he was not going to let this one get away. On his last weekend off before the outage he decided to fly back home and start putting his plan in action. He flew in on a Friday and over the weekend he had an opportunity to have a heart to heart with Dara's father. Colter stood there eye to eye with Dara's father in one of the biggest man to man conversations of a lifetime, He wanted to ask his permission to marry his daughter. Shaking in his boots waiting for a response, Dara's father answered to so surely "I thought you would never ask!". His response was one that Colter described as a once in a lifetime feeling of acceptance that would never be forgotten. But his plan to propose would have to wait as they were out of time and he had to return back to Arizona to finish the outage. Just as soon as he got laid off he was on a plane headed home to his Lady! On November 2nd Colter arrived to an empty saran wrapped house of booby traps left by Dara. He started planning it all out so when she arrived home he would put his plan in action. On November 3rd Colter grabbed his lady and his cousin and headed to the fishing hole. He pulled out a pair of custom fishing rods he had made with "I Love You" on the handle in each others handwriting and gave her hers. As she started to inspect it and thank him she noticed him down on one knee! He unhooked the ring and asked her to be his wife and "SHE SAID YES!!!" . As soon as Dara posted her hand with a ring and "I said yes" on it the world didn't waste any time congratulating them both!
