Daphnie and Fredderick first met in August 2021 at Oklahoma Wesleyan University during their move-in orientation. Fredderick was entering his junior year as a transfer student, while Daphnie was starting her freshman year. Although they had never spoken during Fredderick’s initial time at OKWU, that all changed in November 2024 when he returned to the university to work. In March 2025, Daphnie added Fredderick on Snapchat, and they began talking. Their conversations soon led to Fredderick asking for Daphnie’s phone number so they could play iMessage games. Later that month, they went on their first date, and by April 2025, they had officially started dating. After six months of being together, Fredderick and Daphnie began planning their wedding. Fredderick also started preparing to buy Daphnie’s engagement ring. In December 2025, the day after Daphnie’s graduation, Fredderick organized a surprise proposal and party. Daphnie was overjoyed and surprised to see all of her friends and family gathered together, especially since they had already been celebrating her graduation earlier that afternoon. Following the celebrations, the couple began preparations for their grand wedding day.
