We met in church when he first started playing piano for the church. He still plays piano for the church, by the way. It was just church business between us for a long time, but God brought us together as friends, and from there, we grew in love with each other.

After my sister's wedding on Sept 30, we had a weekend getaway with the families. It was Karaoke night on Saturday with our families, so we went up first and sang "my boo by Usher & Alicia Keys." After everyone else went and did their duet, my fiancé went up to do a solo while singing to me. He started singing "Marry me by Mikaben" and dancing with me; the next thing I knew, when he got to the chorus "marry me," he was on his knees. I was shocked and in tears; after minutes passed, I said YES, and we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
