Her Story: I believe our story began where all great love stories do—at church. We met as teenagers at Beraca Baptist Church, just 13 and 14 years old. Doodley had his eye on me for a while—though he probably should have been paying more attention to the youth sermon. His Story: What started as a Bible study night about God’s great love turned into the beginning of a friendship I never knew I needed. I knew Daphney was feeling me—admittedly, I was too—so I finally built up the courage to ask for her number. Her Story: I guess fate—or maybe just an unforgettable Wednesday night Bible study—had other plans. That night, he asked for my number, and I played it cool, telling my friends, “Yeah, he’s cute… but it’s just a crush.” His Story: I knew that once she gave me her number, I had a chance to break through that wall she was trying to put up. But little did I know, that night would be the start of our forever. Our Story: From long phone calls to lingering at church just to spend more time together, we quickly realized our connection was effortless. Even as kids, we knew there was something more than just friendship between us. After 12 years of friendship, dating, and growing together—guided by prayer, Godly counsel, and countless memories—we've stepped into the beautiful journey of marriage. Now, with hearts full of love and a guest list full of our favorite people, we can’t wait to celebrate our love story with all of you!
