On October 8th, the State of Connecticut moved forward to Phase 3, thus allowing the reception to be held indoors. We have limited the seating to 7-8 per table and tables will be spaced appropriately based on COVID guidelines. Our wedding will be the only event at the venue on this day, the venue has vaulted ceilings/great ventilation and there are multiple rooms within the venue so guests can spread out a bit during the reception if they would like. If the weather is nice (fingers crossed!) the ceremony will be held outside on the grass. If the weather is poor, the ceremony will be held outside under the terrace. We continue to watch out for Connecticut changes to COVID guidelines and will adjust in the event things change.
We highly recommend that if you are traveling into CT for the wedding, that you get tested. Connecticut has recently mandated that those traveling in from high infection rate states must provide contact information so they can follow up that you are quarantining properly for 14 days upon arrival into the state. If you show negative test results within 72 hours of travel, it is not a requirement to quarantine while in CT. Those who do not quarantine as required or cannot provide proof of a negative test, are subject to a fine. Additionally, testing prior to traveling here will help reduce any possible transfers of the virus and put the rest of our guests at ease. You can find up-to-date information regarding Connecticut’s covid travel guidelines here: https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/travel
Yes! We have secured an early check-in time beginning at 2pm for both 10/29 and 10/30 (the wedding party only will be allowed to check in at 12pm on 10/30). If you are checking in the day of the wedding, please note that the bus will be departing for the venue at 3:25pm sharp, so please plan accordingly if you would like to utilize the bus transportation.
We have switched our hotel room block to the Courtyard by Marriott in Southington, CT. All reservations previously made at the Shelton hotel have been cancelled. You will need to book a new reservation at the Southington hotel.
Unfortunately, due to the covid pandemic and state restriction on gathering sizes, we only have space for our guests and will not be able to reserves spots for dates. Invitations have been addressed specifically to each person invited to ensure all our family and friends will have a seat at our wedding. Thank you for your understanding!
In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
