We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Daphne and I met through a mutual friend at a local Kirby Icehouse happy hour one humid evening in Houston, TX. There was an instant connection and we bonded over our shared love for music, great food and world traveling. The adventure blossomed from there and eventually led us to falling deeply in love, withstanding a global pandemic and adopting our sweet dog, Buddha. I could not be happier in asking Daphne to be my wife and look forward to celebrating with you March 22nd, 2025.

We had a family trip booked to Barcelona for mine and Steven's 30th birthday party. Secretly, I went out and found a diamond and a ring and brought everything with me as we embarked (the ring had insurance for those concerned). I knew I was ready to ask Daphne to be my wife but was waiting on the moment. This moment came as we walked the canals of Amsterdam where I picked out the idealistic spot on a bridge, with a local cafe right next to it as the hangout spot for evening drinks and the vantage from which I could gather the courage to ask Daphne to marry me. This moment came and went as Daphne fell ill and we abruptly left and went back to the hotel. As we travelled to Mallorca and then to Paris, each potential question popping opportunity looked promising and then never came to fruition. Finally, on our last day in Barcelona, I lined a photographer and picked the Bunkers del Carmen overlooking the city as our destination. We set out by car up the rolling hills, through city streets, walking the final distance up cliffsides to the overlook. Daphne eagerly kept bringing up dinner as we continued to hike - meanwhile I'm trying to find the photographer. At last I spot the guy and we continued walking along a bridge with the photographer in tow. To Daphne's surprise I went down on one knee and asked her if she'd marry me. She beamed with pure delight and said the only word's appropriate for the moment, "where did the photographer come from.." followed by a "Yes, I will!" We ate paella at a local Spanish restaurant and trekked back to the hotel, feeling accomplished.
