Old Idaho Penitentiary Site

The Idaho State Penitentiary, often called the Old Idaho Penitentiary, is a historic prison located in Boise, Idaho. It operated from 1872 to 1973 and housed some of the West's most notorious criminals during its century of use. The site is now a popular museum and tourist attraction, managed by the Idaho State Historical Society.
