Wedding Party

Meet the party of our wedding! Conozcan a la fiesta de nuestra boda!

Ingrid Vergara

Matron of Honor

My name is Ingrid Vergara and I am the Maid of Honor. I met Danyarel in 2016 when we both worked at Pine Springs Ranch. I can’t thank God enough for brining that girl into my life. We quickly grew close and I can now call her one of my best friends. We started dating our fiancés around the same time and we kept each other sane as we navigated our long distance relationships. Dany was there when I most needed it. She has heard me vent, she has seen me cry, she has seen my ups and my downs and she has been my biggest supporter. I am excited to be hers when she needs it the most.

Nathan Munir

Best Man

After we met at PSR in the summer of 2014, we got closer thanks to several camping trips, bro dates, and always convalescing at the Marruffo House. From mere friends to best friends, we have been there for each other through our dark times as well as the good times. We share many similar interests such as food, humor, enthusiasm for knives, and movies! Daniel is my older brother who’s advice is direct and without any biases. Him and I have only gotten closer throughout the years while being chismosos, going on taco runs, and many L-Team Retreats. At camp in 2019, I looked at Daniel and told him that no matter who I married, he would be there by my side as my Best Man and that he was my brother for life. I can’t wait to celebrate with you hermano!

Alli Ortiz Torres

Maid of Honor

Hello my name is Allison Ortiz Torres and I am Danyarel's sister. Danyarel is a good sister and I'm proud that she has completed her college studies and is now getting married. One of the greatest times I've had with her was when we both attended the BTS Speak Yourself concert at the Rose Bowl in 2019. It was a fun experience and it was even more funny because I remember that she cried a bit during one of the songs XD

Bridesman

Who knew in the summer heat, at a camp none can beat, I'd meet the 2 most neat and sweet treats i every did meet. Who knew I'd meet a dude so lewd who'd pursue good food and imbue true servitude Who knew I'd find a senorita like Danya que me acompaña hasta montañas, a veces regaña, pero nunca me engaña Dos amigos, both Hot, that i love a lot and are sweeter than an apricot Now, I know about this you faught, about who's side I got. But I'm so grateful i got a spot for the day you tie the knot.

Lysa Camarena

Bridesmaid

Dany is the type of friend that I quickly knew I would want to keep forever. We met in 2016 and began working together in ministry. Late nights and weekly meetings started to bring us closer together and when she started dating Daniel, a friend of mine since 2013, our relationship got stronger. We became roommates in 2017 and a moment I will always love is the night she helped me get ready for my first date with my now-husband. She has been there, through pivotal moments, helping me prepare every time. She is there for me through the good and the bad, no questions asked. I am so lucky to be there for her pivotal moments too, like getting married! I love you my forever friend. I can’t wait to help you get ready for your soon to be husband <3

Brady Clark

Groomsman

I first met Daniel in 2013 while working at summer camp. When I think about my friendship with Daniel, two things come to mind. The first thing is that Daniel's always “down”. Whether it be a spur-of-the-moment decision to drive up to NorCal, a 2am Jack in the Box run, going to the gym, or even dressing up in silly costumes for children. The second thing that comes to mind is that Daniel has a heart for others. There is a running joke that Daniel is “scary” or “intimidating”, but whenever I think of Daniel, I see a man that would always help someone else. Through our 7+ years of working together, I've seen Daniel serve at camp, as a missionary, and now as a teacher. Seeing Daniel dedicate his life to serving others has made me want to be a better person, I am proud to call him my friend.

Judith Mendoza

Bridesmaid

I saw a tweet somewhere that you know someone loves you when they’re willing to pick you up from LAX. On 5/18/19 Daniel and Dany drove to LAX, picked me up and we spent my 9 hr layover going to a museum and visiting two tacos shops. They even brought me my first strawberry filled donut from The Donut Man! Over the past couple of years, I’ve been lucky to share some of life’s ups and downs with them individually and together as a couple. We’ve shared food adventures, hikes, and canoe trips (including my fall into the river). Getting to stand by while they make this commitment to each other will be the best thing; second to witnessing their engagement! I will drive to LAX any day for you ❤️

Jordan Harris

Groomsman

I saved Jordan's life once. Pulled him from the edge of a cliff on a hiking trip in the snow. We first met at church in high school. Then we bonded at summer camp, power-washing mac and cheese off campers' plates and checking sleeping bags for urine. As college roommates, he begged me to go on late-night runs to McDonald's whenever I'd come back from the gym. Unsurprisingly, his friendship is like a fast-food run: spontaneous, available late at night, and consistently delicious.

Jessica Marruffo

Bridesmaid

First time I met Dany was at PSR, in the car. She knew my brother before her and I got to know each other, but luckily we had the same day off while working at summer camp. We each wanted to obviously get off the mountain for our one day without children yelling around us so we carpooled. For the majority of that summer I was lucky enough to drive Dany home and pick her up the following day to drive back to work. Unfortunately for her, but fortunately for me, she very quickly became my vent box and listening ears lol. So glad to see you have now added an additional Marruffo to your list of listening ears. But glad to know I was the first ✨ though please let me know if you ever need earplugs.

Marcus Uechi

Groomsman

It was my first year at camp. Daniel was part of L-team and boys village coordinator. I don’t know if it was camp Daniel but I was intimidated. My next summer even more so because he didn’t know I was interested in his sister. Fast forward to today I will be one of his groomsman so you can guess how it’s going.

Giselle Garcia

Bridesmaid

I first met Dany in 2016 when she offered her dorm room as a place to stay while I was working at PSR. From that moment, I knew she was kind and selfless to even a stranger like me. As time went on, we began to hang out again, especially when I moved to Loma Linda. Never would I have imagined gaining a friend like her. From sleepovers to working out or belting out to Bad Bunny, these are the memories I'll cherish the most.
Like they say in a quote, "Whoever finds a friend, finds a treasure," and whoever find a Dany, is set for life. I am so grateful to be a part of this special day and look forward to more to come!

Nick Kim

Groomsman

Nick and Daniel first met in junior high at La Sierra Academy and started as friends and teammates in soccer. Their friendship grew quickly and they actually became practically “family” the moment Daniel’s loving family welcomed Nick into their home with open arms. Both ended up going to La Sierra University as roommates and the rest is history (Daniel was one of Nick’s groomsmen 😉).
