We met at 3411, a local bar in Oakland where both of our friends frequently went to. Alex used to do host Taco Tuesday once a month at the local bar where he caught my eye. Unfortunately, Alex is oblivious about a lot of things and I got tired of waiting and made the first move and hit on him. We officially became a couple during a fireworks show after the A's game when Alex asked me to be his girlfriend. That was the first yes.

Alex was having his birthday party at 3411 on Friday, August 23. As usual, a lot of people showed up to celebrate his night. After everyone gathered together and sang the usual birthday song, Alex made his wish out loud on a microphone. He said, "I wish the love of my life would accept my proposal."
