Dante and Julia love visiting the aquarium and especially enjoy viewing the Open Ocean exhibit. There, Dante and Julia sit and enjoy observing the green sea turtles. With 200 different exhibits and 80,000 plants and animals, visitors are sure to be fascinated at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Monterey Mirror Maze
Every time Dante and Julia find themselves in Monterey they make time to visit Monterey Mirror Maze and Lazer Challange. This activity is reasonably priced and fun for all ages. If you decide to stop by, you will likely spot Dante and Julia on the Lazer Challenge leaderboard. ;)
Point Pinos Tide Pool
Point Pinos is one of the best tide pools Dante and Julia have ever visited. This free activity is wonderful for the curious and adventurous. With a keen eye and mindful steps, visitors can admire wild ocean life from up close. Dante and Julia ask all who visit this amazing spot to be courteous to the anemones, urchins, and starfish that call this place home.
Adventures By The Sea
Adventures by the Sea has plenty to offer the active visitor. With aquatic experiences such as kayaking, you pass over the famous Monterey kelp forest. Here you have a good chance of viewing jellyfish, otters, and seals in their natural habitat. With the bike trail, you will enjoy a scenic route along the ocean, passing by Dante and Julia's wedding venue along the way. With Adventures by the Sea, you can rent kayaks, bikes (including tandem), paddle boards, and more!
Cannery Row Shopping
Cannery Row offers a varriety of shops and boutiques for treasure hunters to enjoy. These stores include candy shops, clothing boutiques, home decor, and more. Just around the corner from Cannery Row, guests can also find an antique mall.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Bubba Gump is one of many delicious dining locations on Cannery Row. Not only do they have some great photo opportunities and a Forest Gump-themed gift shop, but they also have an ample menu to select from. Regular offerings include shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. There's pan-fried, deep-fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That's about it.
