Flight

LGA (LaGuardia Airport) or JFK (John F. Kennedy International Airport)

If you plan to travel via plane, we recommend flying into LaGuardia Airport. From there, it is a 30-minute cab ride to Long Island City. Alternatively, you can fly into JFK but, from there, the cab ride is about an hour.

Train

MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority)

Using the NYC subways and buses is the best way to get around the city. You can easily purchase a MetroCard at any NYC subway station. From LaGuardia Airport to the Hilton Garden Inn-Queensbridge: Take the M60 to 31st Street in Astoria, Queens, and then take a Southbound N or W train to Queensboro Plaza. From the Hilton Garden Inn-Queensbridge to Gantry Loft: Take a Westbound 7 train from Queensboro Plaza to Vernon Blvd-Jackson Ave. More info about the NYC Subway system can be found using the link below.

Travel Note

Taxi Cab/Lyft/Uber

If you do not feel comfortable taking the NYC subway, we recommend taking a Taxi Cab, Lyft or Uber. Note: No matter where you are, we recommend giving yourself at least an hour to travel anywhere in NYC, no matter the distance. Traffic and other transportation complications can happen at any time, so make sure you give yourself time to get to where you are trying to go. Taxi Cab: Only hail yellow or green taxi cabs. Do not take rides with anyone soliciting rides that is not a marked yellow or green NYC taxi cab. Use yellow cabs to travel into Manhattan and green cabs to travel between the outer boroughs. Lyft/Uber: Download the Lyft or Uber apps to call rides to any location in NYC. This is the only time you should ride in a car that is not a yellow or green NYC taxi cab.
