We owe our love story to Hinge — without it, our paths likely would have never crossed. Danny, the most hobby-loving person in the world, and Valeria, the least hobby-inclined person in the world, somehow found the perfect match in each other. Everything started when Valeria liked a picture of Danny's cat on his Hinge profile. Danny started a conversation, and after chatting for about two weeks, they decided to go on a date. On July 25th 2022, Danny and Valeria met at Avanti in Boulder and had a wonderful time. From then on, they started seeing each other regularly. On August 31st, 2022, Danny asked Valeria to be his girlfriend. Since then, they’ve shared countless memories, from meeting each other's families to traveling to amazing places. Together, they’ve explored Southern and Northern California, Michigan, New Mexico, Florida, Hawaii, and Mexico. They’re hoping their next adventures take them to Colombia and later, for their honeymoon in 2026, to Spain. Danny and Valeria moved in together in October 2023. Since then, they’ve learned to live as a team and complement each other. In May 2024, they adopted their second cat, Maui, the most loving cat in the world. Along with Zote, Danny’s first cat (the least loving cat in the world), they now have a lovely, furry family and a warm, happy home. During the summer of 2024, with the help of his mom, Danny planned the most beautiful surprise to propose to Valeria. This special moment took place in Michigan, at their family lake house, on July 13th, 2024. Since then, they have been planning their wedding, excited to celebrate an unforgettable day with their loved ones. Note: We chose December 7th as our wedding day because it holds deep meaning for us. Valeria’s dad passed away on that date, and we wanted to honor his memory by turning it into something beautiful and full of love. In addition, December 7th is a special holiday in Colombia called Día de las Velitas (Candle Day). On this night, families and loved ones gather to light candles as a symbol of gratitude, prayer, and to welcome the Christmas season. We hope you are excited to share in some of these special traditions with us. Get ready to bring a holly jolly holiday spirit!
