Tori and Danny met in 2012 at Foothill College, at a time when both were still finding their footing. Tori had recently stepped away from Biola University and was sorting through a season of self discovery, while Danny was working full time at a bike shop and pursuing his degree in Business Administration. They went on one date, a concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre, and quickly realized they weren’t meant to be strangers. The connection was intense and familiar, but it formed at a time when both were still navigating unhealthy patterns and coping in ways that made closeness complicated. They cared deeply for each other, but the challenges of life and their own personal struggles were holding them back from loving each other in the way they both deserved. In 2019, with the encouragement and support of family, Tori chose sobriety and began aligning her life with her values. In 2022, Danny followed that same path. Through humility and accountability, along with the unwavering support of one another and their families, they were given the rare gift of starting over - this time with clarity, intention, and a deeper understanding of grace. Since then, their relationship has been steady, joyful, and deeply intentional. They live with gratitude and awe, finding joy in both adventure and simplicity; whether biking and camping outdoors or sharing laughter over games and late-night sweet treats. On July 4th, 2025, deep in the backcountry of Yosemite, and with Gary’s blessing, Danny surprised Tori with a proposal beneath a waterfall at Lake Eleanor. On August 22, 2026, they’ll marry - Forever grateful for the journey that shaped them and committed to choosing each other with gratitude, grace and understanding.
