I was hired to teach kickboxing at a new gym in the area and my instructor account wasn't quite working right. To my luck, I was looped into an email with the general manager to help get it resolved. I went into the gym that week to teach my scheduled class, and saw someone with the General Manager name-tag. I introduced myself as the girl from the email. Before I knew it, I would look forward to teaching my Tuesday night class because of the nervous gentleman that would clean up weights, just to come over and talk to me (although usually a bunch of random words were what he babbled). Soon enough, we were friends on social media (he slid into those DM's..), and I was asked on a date. We were both nervous and really hot in the heat of summer as we walked Lake Eola, getting to know each other. Before we knew it, it was past 9PM on a school night- the time had flown. I knew right then that this man was a gentleman, a kind soul, and destined to be my lover, or even better, my best friend.

Sarah is by far the best planner in the world! I knew I wanted to marry her after the first couple of weeks of dating. So, I started saving for an engagement ring right away. As months went on, we grew deeper in love and more comfortable knowing we wanted to spend our life together. Of course, Sarah starts to mention that there is "No Way" I'd be able to surprise her with a proposal, since she'd figure it out. I figured the only way I could, is if she planned it herself ;) Sarah planned our trip to Iceland. I knew this would be the perfect time and place to ask her to be my wife. I made sure to pack the engagement ring in a thick wool sock that was in a giant boot, deep inside the luggage and off we went. Four extremely nerve-wrecking days went by, before the day we were supposed to visit Gullfoss Waterfall. When we reached Gullfoss, we walked over to the best scenic location and I suggested we ask a stranger for a picture. I asked her to get ready and I went over to a stranger and whispered, "Do you mind taking a video of us, I'm going to propose." The kind stranger says 'yes' and I walk over to my dear girlfriend. Sarah, in true Sarah fashion, begins to argue with me that the stranger would not know how to operate the camera and I should've changed settings on it, etc. That is until I lean in, rest my head on hers, and let her know how much I love her. I asked her, if she would do me the honor, and make me the happiest man alive, by being my wife. In all honesty, I don't remember if thats exactly what I said, I've never been more nervous in my life. The important thing was she knew what was in my heart, that I'd always keep her safe and that I'd love her forever if she said "Yes."
