All at once, everything was different, right when I saw you. When I first saw Olivia, it was during my first day at a brand new job. I was nervous and excited. I was standing at the nurses’ station getting ready to start my day when all of a sudden I heard footsteps. I looked up and saw these bright green eyes that made my heart skip a beat (of course that was all I could really see due to the mask requirement at the time). Later in the shift, a coworker told me that she was single and my heart skipped another beat. I knew I wanted to get to know more about her. Lucky enough for me, 12 hour night shifts gave us A LOT of time to talk and get to know one another. She showed me her cricut projects and I was amazed at her artistic ability. One day we were talking about our families and I told Olivia that my niece, Rowan, was about to have her third birthday party, Peter Pan themed. Olivia quickly suggested that she could make a custom Captain Hook shirt for Rowan with her cricut (Rowan liked all the bad guys at the time). With this gesture, I knew she had to be into me! I made the first move by telling her we should go out to breakfast once she finished the shirt, even though just dropping it off in my locker would have been a much simpler way of getting it to me. At breakfast, we talked the whole time and on the way back to the car I worked up the confidence to tell her that I liked her, which was probably already pretty obvious. Fast forward to a Disney vacation, creating our own earring business, a trip outside the country to Punta Cana, and many visits to the smoothie bowl store and now here we are, coworkers turned into fiancés, soon to be married! We are so excited to begin our lives as a married couple and cannot wait to spend our special day with all of the people that we love!
