If you are planning to stay in the area for a few days, there are plenty of things to do within Southwest Florida. Within Fort Myers, you can visit Fort Myers Beach, shopping districts such as Gulf Coast Town Center or Miramar outlets, or tour the historic district along the Caloosahatchee river. Sanibel/Captiva Island is also located within a 20-minute drive of Fort Myers and is one of Mia and Danny's favorite places to go. Here, you will find several beaches, antique stores, tropical-themed restaurants, and museums. Mia and Danny met in Cape Coral, which is also Mia's hometown. This is a coastal town with a lively downtown scene, several marinas, and options for waterfront dining.
