Question

What will be covered in Italy?

Answer

With loving generosity, Mary's mom, Jean Sweitzer, will be providing lodging from Thursday evening through Monday morning, at the villa, for all our guests invited to Italy, as well as hosting the wedding ceremony and reception to follow on Saturday. She will also provide breakfast for all guests on the day of the wedding. Danny's parents, Julio and Cara Sarmiento, are graciously hosting the rehearsal dinner for all wedding guests at the villa on Friday. Danny and Mary will host a welcome dinner for all our guests arriving at the villa on Thursday evening.

Question

What costs am I responsible for in Italy?

Answer

Wedding guests invited to Italy will be responsible for their transportation costs, additional meals not covered in the hosted festivities, and any additional excursions/activities personally embarked upon.

Question

When should I arrive in Italy?

Answer

Guests are welcome to begin checking in on Thursday, March 13th at 5pm. The welcome dinner will begin at 7pm.

Question

How should I get to the venue?

Answer

Flying into Rome & taking a train into Manziana is the most efficient way to get to the venue.

Question

Where are all the events happening in Italy?

Answer

All events will be hosted onsite at the villa.

Question

When should I leave Italy?

Answer

The venue will be available for all guests to stay through Monday morning at 9am. There will be no wedding events planned on Sunday, so guest are welcome to schedule travel on that day or continue to enjoy the villa until check-out.

Question

When do I need to RSVP for Italy by?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP to the events as soon as possible. RSVP's are kindly requested by January 5th, 2025 because this is an intimate, destination wedding with unique travel expectations, early RSVP's allow for enough planning time for all involved.

Question

What is the dress code in Italy?

Answer

For all events in Italy, we request that our guests come dressed up! The welcome dinner will be the most casual event, but we are still hoping for guests to come dressed in soft cocktail attire. For the rehearsal dinner, we are requesting semi-formal attire, and the wedding ceremony and reception are formal dersscode. For all events, please avoid shorts, jeans, and the color white/cream.

Question

Can I bring a guest or date to Italy?

Answer

Due to the intimate nature of our wedding in Italy and the space limitations of the villa, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

Who is invited to the wedding weekend in Italy?

Answer

Since this is an intimate, destination wedding, we are only inviting our immediate families and a small handful of close friends, many of whom are part of the bridal party.

Question

What is the weather like in Italy?

Answer

In March, Italy is just beginning to enter springtime. The region we are staying in will see chily/moderate temperatures, with highs of 50-60 degrees during the day and dips into the 40's at night.

Question

What do I do in Italy when there are not scheduled events?

Answer

During the unscheduled time in Italy, guests are welcome to come and go from the villa as they please! Danny and Mary will be spending majority of their time at the villa socializing with those that choose to spend time there as well. On Sunday, the couple hopes to travel into Rome for the day and would love to have any guests join on their excursions.

Question

What is the reception in Gainesville?

Answer

The reception in Gainesville will be a celebration of our marriage, just like a typical reception follows a typical wedding ceremony. Dinner and drinks will be provided, cake and dancing, conversations and laughter, and a few surprises along the way!

Question

When do I need to RSVP for the reception in Gainesville?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP to the events as soon as possible. However, we are kindly requesting that all guests RSVP for the reception in Gainesville no later than March 1st.

For all the days along the way
