Scuba Diving

Pearl Harbor National Memorial
Run by the National Park Service to remember a turning point in U.S. history. Danny's grandfather, a marine and veteran of World War II, was stationed at Ewa Marine Base adjacent to Pearl Harbor during and after the war.
He'eia State Park
Oahu has a number of beautiful state parks where you can hike, kayak, or relax on one of its many beaches. They are open to the public year around (I mean... it's Hawaii). A complete list and interactive map of Oahu's state parks can be found at: https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/dsp/parks/oahu/
Dole Plantation
As the website says, this is Hawaii's Complete Pineapple Experience. Group tours are currently closed, but the grounds and many of the activities are open. Admission is free, and tickets to the pineapple train and garden maze can be purchased the day of arrival.
Waikiki Shopping and Waterfront
The neighborhood in south Honolulu famous for its shopping, good food, and Waikiki beach. It can be reached by shuttle from the resort, and uber is readily available.
Kayaking, Jet Ski, and Watersports
Kayaking and jet skiing are both available through Aulani, but there are also a number of tour companies in Honolulu with whom kayaking tours can be booked. One that was recommended to us specifically for kayaking can be found at: https://www.kailuabeachadventures.com/
