Instead, he opted to sneak a peek at Julia's name on the info pack folder, plotting to say hi when their paths crossed on campus. A couple of weeks later, destiny brought Julia and Danny face to face at Festival (a JMU dining hall - IYKYK). With confidence, Danny walked over and greeted, ‘Hey Olivia!!’ As it turned out, he had read Julia's middle name on that folder. A swift correction from Julia's roommate at the time left Danny momentarily thinking he had blown it. Fortunately, Julia doesn't recall that moment, because she found him just as cute. Fast forward to the JMU in LA program, where both Julia and Danny secured internships in Beverly Hills three days a week. They began sharing lunches every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in a park that Julia still passes during her lunch breaks today. Those casual lunches evolved into impromptu day dates and late-night hangouts on their balcony at Oakwoods (IYKYK). Julia and Danny discovered their shared interests, and the initial sparks turned into genuine feelings. When the program concluded, Julia returned to Virginia to finish her senior year, and later, ventured to New York City, while Danny remained in LA. Over the next four years, they stayed in touch, meeting periodically. The feelings they discovered in LA remained unwavering, despite the miles between them. Each visit concluded with a bittersweet goodbye, and the desire for proximity lingered, hoping to give a real relationship a chance. In 2019, following her heart, Julia packed up and relocated to LA.
