How we met- Our Story

July 2016

July 28, 2016. All I can remember is driving 12 hours to Florida with one of my best friends and her family. We hadn't even made it out of Texas yet and I look down at my phone and a guy from work, Danny, had texted me. I didn't think anything of it, I figured he was trying to get me to send him the work schedule or to cover a shift for somebody, after a few messages I realized that he was only trying to make conversation. We had been good friends at work but truly, I never saw it going any further than that. I continued making conversation when he caught me off guard and confessed his feelings toward me. We texted back and forth for the rest of the day and just left it at that. When I got back into Texas he instantly wanted to meet up, so we did. We ended up meeting at Whataburger for some late night taquitos after him and a few coworkers swam at my parents house for a few hours. My curfew was supposed to be midnight, but we ended up staying at Whataburger talking about everything until about 1:30am. After all of the deep belly laughs and just the genuine good time we had together, I realized Danny was the one. The one to be my best friend, the one to make me laugh even when I don't want to and the one I wanted to tell all the good and bad things to as soon as they happened. Flash forward 2 years and a week, making it through all of the amazing and also the very trying times, Danny finally asked me to marry him. We are looking forward to 10/19/19 and all of the great things to come after. Xoxo, Brooklyn & Danny <3
