In South Carolina, weather in May is sometimes hard to predict. Typically, it is hot during the day and fairly warm in the afternoon. However, it is also possible that it could be cold. We recommend looking at the weather prior to packing for our out-of-town guests!
The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses and dressy jumpsuits, and the gentlemen should wear slacks and dark coats.
The ceremony and reception will both take place at Aurora Farms in Taylors, SC! 1045 Milford Church Road Taylors, SC 29687
If the weather is right, the ceremony will be outdoors. While most of the reception will be indoors, there will be a few things done outdoors.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can go into the reception hall where we will be serving beverages and finger foods.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event (with the exception of the flower girl and ring bearer). We want everyone to be able to relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so we can plan accordingly.
We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
There is free parking at the venue! We will be having an open bar. In the case of a guest needing to take a taxi or Uber to a hotel, all vehicles must be removed from the venue by 10am the following morning.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Yes! We will be having a taco bar as well as a nacho bar with two different protein options.
If you let us know early enough in advance, we can arrange for any of these needs!
Yes! The deadline is May 9, 2021. This will give us enough time to give our vendors and the venue an official headcount early. Our RSVP is only online for convenience. Please see the "RSVP" tab.
We will not be providing transportation for guests. For any guests that plan to have a few drinks during the night, we suggest using Uber!
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag so we can keep track of all of your pictures! #Weddingshenanhiggins
