Long before Anna and Danny began dating… well, not that long ago. One summer during college, Anna was working outside at Minneapolis Golf Club assisting members. Danny was a member at the club and would occasionally walk by, offering a friendly hello, but they never actually had a real conversation. One day, Danny’s mom, Kari Little, introduced them on the first tee box. Just a brief exchange of pleasantries, nothing more. And then life moved on. Several years passed. Anna was finishing her senior year at Grand Canyon University and interning at Ryan Companies in Arizona. Danny had graduated the year prior and was working full-time. In May of 2024, Danny made a spontaneous trip to visit his good friend from high school, Elijah, who had attended GCU. That Sunday, at church, Danny and Elijah ran into familiar faces: Molly Nicholls (formerly McHugh), her boyfriend Billy, and his sister - Anna. They caught up, started talking, and coincidentally everyone was heading to the same pool party that afternoon, where the two ended up spending most of the day together. A week or two later, Danny asked Molly if it would be alright to ask Anna out once she returned home from Arizona. Molly responded with an emphatic: “OMGG YESSSS!” So, Danny got Anna’s number and asked if she’d like to grab coffee when she got back home. On June 4th, 2024, they met at Café Cerés. They still laugh about the awkward side hug when they first saw each other, but the date quickly turned into a wonderful long walk around Lake Harriet and easy conversation. Two dates later, while walking around Lake Harriet again... Danny finally asked, “What does it take to date Anna Nicholls?” After a great conversation and a few “marching orders”, Anna gave her approval. Since then, they’ve spent countless days enjoying yoga, coffee dates, walks, making dinner together, traveling, long weekends at the cabin, and time with each other’s families and friends. On October 18th, 2025, Danny got down on one knee at the Noerenberg Gardens in Orono, MN, and asked Anna the BIG Q!! And... they are set to be married in the place they first met.... spoiler alert. The greatest thing they share is their love for Christ. The Lord has blessed them with loving families, a strong community, good health, and a firm foundation for their future marriage. They gladly welcome prayers as they go through premarital counseling and prepare for their wedding. Anna and Danny are so excited to start their new family and to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind -- wherever He calls them.
